rice. Dr. Norman provides a traditional pharmaceutical and/or herbal
remedies.
Giardia
It is Dr. Norman's belief that giardia is an oportunisic parasite that only
takes hold in an unhealthy gut environment. Traditional veterinary
medicine uses Flagyl to treat giardia infestation. Flagyl has
antimicrobial properties that destoy the beneficial gut bacteria.
Alternatively she has successfully treated giardia by improving the gut
health leaving no room for the parasite.

Horses
I believe that horses are one of the most over wormed domestic animals. I encourage horse owners to first do
a fecal exam before using a pharmaceutical wormer. My office can perform this task, just drop off a fresh
fecal sample at my address.
The issue of gut
health once again comes into play here, but a horse that has achieved a
healthy gut environment can in most cases be wormed twice a year with an
herbal wormer.
Complementary
herbal remedies are available for horses.
